ESSENTIALS

Poverty must be eradicated from India as every person has the right to live a healthy life

Woman in a Field

According to estimates in 'The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World, 2020', about 189.2 million people are undernourished in India. By this measure, 14% of the population is undernourished in the country. Also, 51.4% of girls between the reproductive age of 15 to 49 years are anaemic.

Farmers, communities and families are suffering due to the lack of proper food and clean water. This is one of the reasons why we work with the local community groups to supply nutritious food to people and ensure that clean drinking water is available by rehabilitating water facilities in commonplaces. To end hunger, AGADA works relentlessly to provide for those in need by arranging food and clean water resourced from local places tied up with our organization. Clothing is yet another essential that we work on by acting as a portal for people wishing to donate used or unused clothes which will be directly handed over to those in need.

AGADA will set up health camps to spread the awareness of basic hygiene and good health habits. With our goal aiming for overall physical and mental well-being, we aspire to conduct camps educating the importance of self care, regular health check up and proper vaccination for infants.
