AGADA received about 60 boxes of quality clothes and shoes as a token of generosity from Chinmaya International Residential School. With over 79 bags of clothes and shoes, AGADA set out in the search of organizations that can benefit from the donated items. Finally, we were able to locate some organizations that could make good use of these clothes.
15 bags of clothes and shoes were donated to Sharanalayam located in Kinathukadavu, Pollachi. Unisex t-shirts, shirts, skirts, and casual shoes were handed over to the children in the orphanage home.
Sharanalayam is an NGO that provides food, shelter, education, and medical facilities to 250 abandoned children, including the mentally challenged and children affected with HIV/AIDS.
A total of 2 boxes (4 bags) of track pants, jackets, and hoodies were donated to MN Trust located in Denalai village in the Nilgiris. 56 people have benefitted from this donation. We also distributed 50 quality masks that AGADA specifically got made for donations.
MN Trust is a non-profit charity organization that serves as an old-age home by providing support and care for aged individuals. They provide food, shelter, medical care, and recreational opportunities. MN Trust is located in Denalai Village at a distance of 7 km from Coonoor and 10 km from Ooty.
7 bags of clothes and shoes were donated to Ashraya Balabhavan. It consisted of uniform shirts and skirts, shoes, slippers, and white t-shirts. It was indeed very joyful to witness the smiles of the children there. Since all the children were girls, female clothing and shoes were distributed.
Ashraya Charitable Society Balabhavan is a Charity Organization based out of Bommanampalayam in Coimbatore. There are about 140 children residing here. The age group of the children ranges between 6-14 years.
